Chris McPhan has taken over the job from Mel Cramp, who left at the beginning of last month.
Chris has been working at the post office since he came to the Ridge 10 years ago and is very happy with the promotion.
Already he has thrown himself into the role and is pleased to announce that as of October 24 the post office will be able to process applications for passports.
Previously residents had to travel all the way to Coonamble to get this done.
