"As I sit in the Lightning Ridge Library meeting new people I am amazed that it is me. I have always lived on the coast but I felt the need for a "tree change" and I am really enjoying the diversity and sense of community in Lightning Ridge, Cathy said.

"I have been working with children for more than 20 years in some excellent children's services in and around Sydney and I am excited about sharing my knowledge and experience with the team at Little Diggers.

"I am particularly passionate about the emergent curriculum and how it can enhance the learning and positive experiences for children and their families.

"It is about facilitating children's learning through the experiences and opportunities you offer them.

"It is also about learning from the interactions with the environment and each other. It is about connecting your learning in all areas of development and feeling positive and confident about what you have learned.

"I could go on and on as I love the way this approach empowers children to learn and grow as individuals.
