Hefs panel of judges voted on 2009's Miss November, the inaugurated Potch Queen at the Lightning Ridge Bowling Club on Saturday November 14, but scandal may keep the lucky girl out of the infamous magazine after it was discovered that smuggling budgies was rife among the contestants - an exercise not wholly endorsed by the Playboy Mansion.
The entrants summoned some much needed Dutch courage before tackling the catwalk and giving the audience a show to remember.
After a night of thrills and spills it all come down to the final moment when this year's Queen of Potch was announced.
Alias' aside, opting for the competitors' Ridge names in their stead, only three could take home the prize.
It was a tough decision but after much deliberation Daniel Bolton was elected and crowned the night’s greatest beauty.
Following close behind Jay Morris secured second place as well as Miss Personality while Mitchell Williams took third.
While the fabulous Ben Morris, Barry Krauss, Graham Offner and Glen Knight were unable to take home a prize they did enliven the nights entertainment and assisted in raising some much needed funds for the Lightning Ridge preschool.
The large bottle of scotch auctioned on the night was purchased by Alistair and Katrina Klein for $1,000 which brought the total of funds raised from the night over $5,000.
The lucky door prize of a 40-inch plasma television, donated by Rob and Baden of LRE, saw the audience hold onto their tickets in anticipation but it was Pauline Thurston who had the lucky number.
Great music from DJ Dino brought some funky beats to the evening as guests continued to party and dance into the night.
The fantastic decorations were created with assistance from the kids Matilda, Arabella, Portia and Jock McKenzie, Clare Weeks, Christen Finne, Jasmin and Maddy Tooth, Jett, Xhana and Indi Tishler, and Lachlan, Mia and Liam Pitt.
The helpers who brought the show together were Kelly Tishler, Melissa and David Tooth, Kylie and Shane Pitt, Tracy McGovern, Joy Myers, Belinda Buckley, Kylie Goodwin, Kathy Wiesnet, Jasna Bedenikovic, Aleisha Bell, Dayle Murray, Peter McKenzie, Amanda and Chris Cheal, Tippy and Paul Brown, Justine Corney, Maxine O’Brien (MC), Ian Harrison, Peter Sorokoput, Maude and Lisa Knight.
The preschool committee would like to thank the Bowling Club and staff for their assistance and support for making the event a success and to the Central School who provided the stage for the lovely girls to walk down.
