Children kept busy during holiday time

08 Oct, 2009 01:20 PM
School holidays are a busy time in Lightning Ridge.

Not only do we have extra visitors, but extra activities are put on to keep the kids busy.

Earlier this week, a tennis coaching clinic was held, where the children learned everything from serving to smashing the ball.

Walgett Shire Council have also kept the entertainment rolling, hosting a pool day and a table tennis competition.

Vacation Care has also been a relief to parents this week.

Next week the kids have even more to look forward to, with an excursion to the Lions Park, another pool day and a movie night to wrap the week up.
