Angie makes it into Top 10

24 Jun, 2010 11:17 AM
Local lady, Angie Newman, has been selected as one of 10 finalists in the Bodytrim Top 10 Weekend and as a result, has a chance to win $10,000.

Bodytrim is a weight loss system which places emphasis on using real food to provide a constant source of energy whilst allowing the body to burn fat for fuel at the same time.

Twice a year the people behind Bodytrim hold the Bodytrim Top 10 Weekend in Sydney.

They pick 10 people on the basis of their ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos and a 250-word submission on what Bodytrim has done for them.

The weekend is not supposed to be a beauty pageant or a body-building competition, but a celebration for 10 people who have successfully achieved breakthroughs in their lives as a result of Bodytrim.

Contestants get to go shopping with a stylist and participate in a photo shoot before the grand champion, who will win $10,000, is announced at a dinner on Saturday night. Two runners-up will receive $1000 each.

Ms Newman, who read about Bodytrim in OK! Magazine, said she was very excited to have been selected as a finalist in the competition, which was being held this weekend.

“I’m looking forward to going to Sydney and getting to know the other contestants, sharing our experiences, how we got through the tough times and how we can help others,” she said.

Ms Newman has lost 25kg since September last year by following the Bodytrim system.

“I was at a point where I would do anything to lose it. Now I can’t believe I’d been carrying that much weight around for the last 10 years,” she said.

She says it has changed her whole outlook on how she eats.

“I have learnt a lot about food and how to read labels,” she said.

“I am addicted to it. I love it. I have so much energy,” she continued.

Ms Newman said she didn’t mind telling people how she’d lost so much weight.

“It’s no secret. I’ve done it all properly. It’s all natural,” she said.

“I don’t want people to think I’ve had surgery or anything.”

Ms Newman encouraged anyone who is interested in Bodytrim, to ask her about it or look up their website www.bodytrim.com.au.

She said there were already quite a few people around town who had started Bodytrim as a result of her success.

Ms Newman was one of 20 runners-up in Bodytrim’s Body Sculpt Challenge earlier this year.

She won $500 worth of prizes. We hope that she can continue her successful run in Sydney this weekend.

Good luck Angie.
